Picked up the Deluxe LP earlier this morning.
Really, really looking forward to getting off work and spinning this bad boy.
My record store threw in the "Do I Wanna Know" single free of charge which was a nice little surprise, last in stock too!

First spin through; enjoying it. I'll have to listen to it a few more times before I give any concrete thoughts on it. First impression: simpler and moodier. In the way that lyrically and musically "...Like Clockwork" was a step in a new direction for Queens of the Stone Age, "AM" is for Arctic Monkeys. It's certainly missing those clever Turner quips, but that's not say that it's poorly written either. In my opinion the single "Do I Wanna Know" paints the perfect picture of this album and it's quite a good one at that.

after a handful of more listens, i'm in love with the majority of the album....

I realized that 1) i had burned the first 2 tracks on my own given that R U mine was released ages ago and do I wanna know a couple of months ago and i've played those songs to death, and to my surprise apparently they're the HOT tracks right now....

so that only leaves me with so many new songs to have my way with.

Personally, with the exception of "why do you only call me when you're high", "i want it all" and the first portion of "one for the road", the rest of the album is solid.

The last 3 songs i love listening to in succession. Fireside is one catchy tune. I was playing it in the car earlier today and my friend immediately thought of Oceans 12, the scene where someone or other is dancing among the lasers....he was right... go figure.

This album has definitely won me over.... Simple, more slow dancing swaying beaty tunes.....but i'm alright with that.....

I thought this was pretty neat of them to do.

Haha. That's righteous.

Does anyone know where to obtain a copy of their original free demos CD, otherwise known as the Boardwalk CD?
Dear NSA, I hope that you enjoy this post.

I've never seen them, I was late to the party. Just started listening to them about a year ago. I think I have all their CD's and vinyl. Love them, can't wait to see them live !!!

I saw them once after Suck it and See came out. Not as big a fan of their newer material though. I love the first 3 albums.

I've been a huge fan since about 2005 or 2006, but I've only seen them twice.
The first time was at Terminal 5 in 2009 and then in 2012 when they opened for The Black Keys at Madison Square Garden.
They came and stood in front of me to watch the Keys' set and NO ONE even cared. Well, those days are long gone...
