Re: Nirvana
So I'm looking to flesh out my Nirvana collection and pick up copies of their LPs, I got lucky an snagged an original sealed white copy of Unplugged for peanuts a while back, and I've even looking to pick up the original studio LPs lately.
What are some of the better sounding pressings of their LPs?
Anyone know if the original UK Tupelo pressings of Bleach are any good?

Re: Nirvana
My store has white unplugged in stock as well as a copy of nevermind, but I never know what pressing is the best one.

The mfsl pressing of nevermind is a good one. Kinda pricey though.

I missed the one a couple of years ago. This one is prettier !!! I think the trend is to reissue reissue reissue. Until nobody wants it anymore.Hamptonio wrote:i'm so puzzled by this one.dunedin wrote:Newbury Comics pre-order for "Bleach". Maroon and black swirl, or clear and white vinyl LPs. 750 each

Wow, 20 years already. This photo was taken in Kalamazoo, MI on 10/27/93. That was the one night I was lucky enough to witness their greatness. Damn, what could have been...

Re: Nirvana
I've been reading a bunch about the Hall of Fame induction. Evidently there was a secret show in NYC of the remaining Nirvana members and the ladies who helped induct them:

Sounds like it was a cool night. All the rock hall induction coverage can be found on Rolling Stone.

Re: Nirvana
The induction kept me up MOST OF THE NIGHT and then the "secret show" kept me up ALL NIGHT! Streamed the entire thing and I don't think I've EVER done more research on seeking any kind of photo, video, literature on what went down last night. But it was a doozy! Last night was just...something.
Can't believe they played a full set at the invitation only secret show! Would've been nice to catch that gig:
1 “Smells Like Teen Spirit”
02 “Breed”
03 “In Bloom”
04 “Territorial Pissings”
05 “All Apologies”
06 “Drain You”
07 “Pennyroyal Tea”
08 “School”
09 “Lithium”
10 “About A Girl”
11 “Heart Shaped Box”
12 “Serve The Servants”
13 “Milk It”
14 “Very Ape”
15 “Scentless Apprentice”
16 “Tourette’s”
17 “Aneurysm”
18 “Negative Creep”
19 “Moist Vagina”
