Did the similarities between Talkin' and Mandy Cream rub anyone else the wrong way?

Listened to the new LP about four times this weekend and I'm in love. Two things: "Warm Hands" at first was the weak link for me; but after repeated listens, it fits so well for me. (And its multi-moves benefit from Albini's crystal-clear audio hand.) And second, I wish the album was just a bit longer—feels short to me by a song or two. But that's a minor quibble. Love this record and I feel a leap has been taken—the quality of each song is indeed muy strong.

New EP next month:

Digging the track released so far, maybe more so than anything on the latest album. Sounds more like classic Ty

Gotta say that version sounds a whole lot better to my ears.

Also, psyched to say this came in today:

SO AGREE! Maybe because at least Pan is a few years old (sounds like it was written/recorded same time as Ghost.) And the b-side is super cool. The record itself looks and sounds great. The new s/t is the worst Ty album ever. By far, imho.
