One of my all-time favorite artists. My first arena show in '87. Psyched to head here in a few weeks.

Suggestions on what to do with my other eight hours welcome.

Stay in the exhibition ?
I visited the exhibition in London 3 times - took about 2-3 hours each time.

I'm just gutted. I've spent the last two days spinning his new album exclusively. Just, wow.

I was never the world's biggest Bowie fan, but he has been there my whole life so it felt like he always would be and his impact on modern music was profound. Between this and Lemmy its been a shite couple of weeks for rock music. All it will take is Nickelback announcing they have a new album coming out and it's the suicide booth for me.

The first best sex I ever had as a teenager was with one of the hottest girls in high school while listening to one of her many Bowie bootleg LPs.

Now if that isn't imprinting, I don't know what is.

David Bowie was another artist that was on my periphery, much like Lemmy. I know some of his work, but only as a casual listener. Despite not being an avid fan, I do appreciate his influence on the course of music. Much like in the same vein as Lou Reed. Enjoy your new opportunities David, you'll be missed here on Earth.

I got into Bowie the same way I got into the white stripes.
Through a recommendation by a friend.
He was so into Bowie when the iPod was released he got the biggest
one available and put all the Bowie albums at best sound quality.
There was nothing other than Bowie on there.
He gave me some Bowie music to check out.
Just as with the white stripes as I bought each Bowie lp
I got the same excitement as where as I bought each tws 7.
He such an amazing back catalogue to explore.
Very sad he is gone.

Going to pick up that vinyl at the Bowie exhibition sucked me in. I know there's heaps to get into still, but kind of sad it's now over

Great story and pics, thanks for posting. I had been wondering if their paths had crossed. That must have been some show.

Thanks for the story and photo's.

Luke, thanks again for your help in Oz.

The latest album is bloody good.

Hopefully they don't push out as much product as the Hendrix Estate.

Sometimes less is more...
