Re: Tom Waits
i read someplace that (in europe at least) he only hold concerts in, like, concert buildings aging over a specific age (200YO maybe?)
So a few years back, a new, grand operahouse was opened in Norway, and he offered to come play, and they turned him down. One of my single biggest sorrows (next to never have seen TWS).

Re: Tom Waits
Waits falls into my category of: artist who I know is very talented + original, but I just never could get into the music.* However, I love reading his interviews. That's pretty much my favorite aspect when he releases new music. He's fun + interesting to read. If you're a fan and never saw his discussions with Beck on Beck's website, definitely check them out.

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.
