not really digging the song too much.
there are some pretty cool Strokes moments in it. i don't really like the high pitch singing at the very beginning of it, and some parts throughout, sounds nothing like Julian.

i too am glad they have a new album coming out. and that means a chance to see them live again

I think the song is terrible from start to finish. The solo in the middle is alright but that would be the only part I'd willingly listen to again.

overall i like this track.....shitton times better than that last track they let us listen to..

that being said, i'm still somewhat underwhelmed after a couple of listens. It starts off well, (does anyone else get the hint of sonic youths - dirty boots sound in the beginning of the track?)

eventually the track doesnt go anywhere for me and man, i wish julian would yell/annunciate his lyrics a bit more......then again, these strokes tracks can make for the perfect drunken karaoke songs....:p

i love the falsetto on 'chances'...that song is buttery.
not sure about a few of the tracks...kinda forgettable upon first listen.

as with every strokes album, though, i will listen to it again and change my mind completely, regressing to my early 'tween years, shrieking with glee as i picture nick valensi delivering a synth-sounding guitar solo while nikolai gives me his best mannequin impression and julian rolls his eyes and throws his beer in my face.

I say: "Great Album!". Listened to it twice now and it sounds great. You are right about some songs being a little forgettable upon first listen, but if you listen to it all together as an album it all sounds in place. Can't wait for my clear LP!
