New album in march! They are starting to slowly announce dates. Great Band IMO. New Single is already out, and im lovin it. Albert and Nick are amazing guitar players. New single is up on youtube called "Under Cover of Darkness". I personally have high hopes for this record on a "mainstream" level. Geenhornes already have record of the year in my book no matter what!

Woo The Strokes! I started collecting them at the same time as the White Stripes but they really never had the same kinda things as the Stripes. I've just preordered both the vinyl single and the LP.

Nice price for the pre-order LP.

I saw two of the Strokes/Stripes shows. I really wish some of the songs on Room on Fire were as good and had the energy of the live versions they were working out at the time.

Try Amazon. There is no 7" preorder on the Strokes site, just the LP. I preordered the 7" on Amazon.ca

I was thinking of buying both formats but I have not heard ithe album yet...I know it's going to be good but I'm not sure it's "2 Formats" good...I also don't want to just buy the CD as the shipping is only $1.30 less than the actual album.

The Strokes website said the deal was for two days - through Saturday. However the store page showed the regular prices. I thought maybe the discount would be reflected at checkout so completed the order. No deal. I (very) politely contacted customer service to inquire about it and they essentially told me to suck it, the prices were the prices. I wrote back quoting the website, saying that the sale was on through Saturday and they wrote back saying tough luck. So I cancelled the order in my third e-mail. Bites.
