John Frusciante's 8 albums he released on the label Record Collection are being reissued on Dec 11th. Original copies of these LP's are very hard to track down and are very expensive. this is great new for anyone who missed out in 04 when most where released. i highly recommend each album and this time they are being pressed on 180 gram with digital downloads. this is a limited edition repress, they wont be around forever im sure of that.

at the bottom of the page there is a link to buy all 8. its like 50$ less than individual and that may be the "box set" but it does not specifically say that

yeah i saw that bundle. it's not too bad of a price considering that each one of his albums is around 100-125. i'm not sure i want to get them all.... maybe i should? i mean i already have all the digital files, thanks to you of course, so i feel like i don't have to have them on vinyl. you're getting them all?

on a different, and completely unrelated note, i think you might appreciate this shot

I picked up my copy of the Omar Rodriguez Lopez/ Frusciante album today. I really like it. How does this albums sound compare to Johns other solo stuff?

He has produced a new album that will be released on january 14th. It's a hip-hop album by the Wu-Tang affiliated Black Knights. I'm really looking forward for this one since I love everything that John touches and I really like hip hop.

Also, if someone would be ready to sell any original release before Letur Lefr (since I already got the recent albums) I'd be more than interested. Though I couldn't pay a super expensive price, these would be in great hands with me :)

Cheers

Really excited about this new LP, there's also news on the brown bunny soundtrack getting a vinyl reissue from an Australian label, new album cover, Gatefold and 180g. I have it on colored vinyl which until just now I didn't know was an unauthorized bootleg from years ago. There are 5 JF songs on the soundtrack he wrote for the Vincent Gallo film.

Yeah that seems cool too however, 39$ + taxes + shipping from Australia seems a bit expensive to me. But yeah I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying it anyway...

Ohh almost forgot. There's also Kimono Kult :
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - guitar, synths, strings
Teri Gender Bender - vocals, guitar
John Frusciante - guitar
Nicole Turley - drum machine, bass, synths, trumpets, backing vocals
Dante White-Aliano - guitar, synths
Laena Geronimo - bass, violin, trumpets

Recorded, mixed, produced, and mastered by Nicole Turley
They're releasing an ep called Hiding In the Light the 4th of March. 2 tracks are already available on bandcamp. This information has been out since a month I believe but it wasn't posted here so I thought it was relevant.
