The Dirtbombs

Post by HappyDad »

I didn't find any Dirtbombs topic on the board (if there is one I didn't see, please delete this one) so here we are. I don't think we need to introduce them ...

I'm falling in love with the Dirtbombs and with all the 7"s they released I found a new playground (and a lot of them to put in my ISO when I will have money)

Oh and it's when I discover bands like this only now (it was the same when I reall get into th Jack bands) that I feel stupid ...

Any other big fans? (I know there is some here ...)

Great live - particularly liked the finale of the show on their last tour.
Have a record signed by the band at their Dublin show thanks to a few kind
members of this forum.

Oh and as for all the things I'm late ... I was able to buy the Race to the Bottom 12" only 2-3 weeks after the deadline of the "secret 7" " contest ... I would have love to destroy a 12" and receive that 7" but I guess I can't help it  ...

Trying out my new video recording setup. Let me know what you think. This one has a little static to it due to some light over spray from the silk screening that got on the A side.

A quote from one of Sean's older blogs...
"I guess when it comes to sheer numbers, there are only 80 of these “Earthquake Heart” singles with an image of Mick silk-screened on the b-side by the wonderful Henrietta Harrison of Auckland, NZ. The single was pressed up mainly for a show on April 4th, 2004 at the King’s Arms in Auckland. I think most of the silk-screened copies were distributed at that show, but a handful snuck out into orders for overseas distributors."

I once asked Blackwell if he had one and I think he said he didn't have one put together. I tried finding one but couldn't.
I'd like one too. I'd gladly list all mine when I find some time to help put one together.

I started reading this thread out of morbid curiosity. I was going to ask someone if they could post something wonderful from these cats and I found this. I had sought out (albeit briefly) some Dirtbombs on youtube after hearing hype and was REALLY not impressed. Utter crap, frankly. But, this certainly changed my mind. Thanks for posting this. ;)
