Iggy Pop

Post by woodisgood »

Felt it was worth mentioning Iggy's new thang with Josh Homme, especially since Dean is playing guitar in the band. (And Matt Sweeney on bass.) They debuted their first song on Colbert.

I thought it was pretty shitty. :lol: Sorry.

THE Matt Sweeney that broke up Zwan? Whoa.....

I'll check out the video shortly, it did peak my curiosity when I saw it on FB.

I personally prefer to think of him as the guy from Chavez . . . :)

It's... not terrible.
We'll see how the rest of the album shapes up.

Saw Iggy a few times in the early 90's. he was completely insane on stage. it was awesome to watch. Whenever I think back to my favorite concerts, crazy Iggy shows always come to mind.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this stuff is pretty boring.

I watched it last night and then I immediately said, "I think I only like this because I like Iggy as an icon so much."

They just released another track via Zane Lowe's show entitled "Break Into Your Heart".
I like it more than "Gardenia".

I finally listened to it. The musicianship is good. Feels like Them Crooked Vultures playing some 80s nightclub without Dave Grohl and all the songs are about the 70s. It's perfectly enjoyable for one listen before becoming a mid-tempo borefest. Iggy didn't even take of his shirt....

Tour dates were announced earlier with the tagline;
ONE NIGHT ONLY. ONE TIME ONLY
Not really buying into the whole theater tour.
$125 plus fees for lower leaving seating?
No thank you.
