Every small psych label will be press this album.

Sounds like a good way for a bunch of labels to lose money.
Dunno about that. Fuzz club is almost sold out, Stolen body sold out of the first 250, greenway is doing a one week ore order so they won’t lose money there...

I could see them losing money once the hype settles down if they decide to do a big run. All these small labels are profiting (for the moment) on they hype of a new release where no one (fans) knows what to do.

Yeah the big labels like Fuzz Club will do fine, the small guys like Greenway are who is going to loose money.
Doing a one week pre-order where you only press say 70-80 will make the price piece WAY higher than if you are label pressing 1,000+ of them. So say worst case scenario he sells 20 of them $20 each, thats $400 he has made towards a pressing cost of $3,000+?! Don't get me wrong he will easily sell more than 20 of them, but will he be able to sell 200 of them when other bigger labels are also pressing it and competing with him?

So far which release do people think will be the best? I have just gone for the Rough trade version to keep shipping costs down. I would have probably gone with Greenway but shipping to Uk from them is crazy

I would like to see what some of those die hard anti-flippers out there think of this release
whats worse people buying the record from the band and then flipping it for profit or
labels freely taking the record from the band and selling them for a profit?

Does feel strange but I suppose the band gave everyone permission. It feels weirdly like an unofficial release. I probably will stick with just the digital version.

Putting the final touches on a little minimalist Polygondwanaland project (no one has done this yet, I think you will dig it)... Would like to put the preorder up in early Dec BUT that'd leave a couple month gap between ordering & shipping date.

You guys think people will be OK with that? Obviously I'd make it super clear in the order link.

Can someone compile a reference list for pre-orders?

Am I the only one who feels like the next record could be their best of the 5?

I streamed it in it’s entirety on my drive in today, and it’s on the lower end for me.

Yea I listened to it all last week during my drives. It's good but it's lacking a killer hook that their best work has.

I hope they take a step backwards soon. I'd be much more interested in a record where they limited themselves a bit.
