King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Post by Dr.Zissou »

I figured I would a thread for some of Australia's finest since I didn't see one. I know there are a few fans out there.

They have another new album coming out (this fall and the second one of 2015 for them) and they've signed to ATO for this one. Read all about it here, along with details about their second tour of North America to support the new album: http://atorecords.com/featured/ato-welc ... rd-wizard/

For anyone interested, check out the back catalogue here: http://kinggizzardandthelizardwizard.com/music

I wonder if this explains why they've been so quiet on social media over the last few weeks

Love me some Gizzz can't wait for them to hit NYC again next month. This new Pipe-Eye song sound great, it actually sounds like the guitar player Joey (he's the one who plays farthest away from ambrose, the harmonica player, on stage live) thats my ear though I'm not sure what members of Gizz are in Pipe-Eye. The song is tight though i really dig it.

I can't wait for the new King Gizzard record, they played a bunch of new songs live when they hit NY after Bonnaroo and they sounded great, theres a couple NYCTaper bootlegs of their incredible Bowery Ballroom & Baby's shows.

I don't know if any of you listen to The Murlocs, another King Gizz off-shoot. They have a couple epic EP's and a Full Length worth checking out.

Murlocs are highly recommended. Their LP is top notch blues rock. They have another album coming out soon.

Seeing Gizz in September here in Austin.
I don't think I've been this excited about a show in years.

Bought it only because I had an existing paypal balance. Otherwise, sooo expensive! Glad I got it though.

Is that a different one than the ATO one? Looks like that is all through Flightless

would be sick if it was two albums. Sounds like this one is acousic per Stu's little blurb on that link!
& agreed price not terrible for import and pretty much everything else King Gizz becomes tough to come by if you miss the first chance

ATO version is indeed different, no mention of qty but first 400 orders come with a signed booklet:

looks like the ATO version comes out to be just 5$ cheaper than the flightless, not bad for the import considering it looks to be very different, i don't see a mention of the 40 pg tab booklet coming with the ATO
