What makes the vinyl so special?

When they announced the video was premiering the 30th I thought, an interactive experience would coincide perfectly with their performance on Conan that night!
Well, the performance ended, it's now officially Halloween and no video!

From what I understand, not all that much.
Just all black cover art.
So yes, I'll buy the album a fourth time. ;)

Remember that time QOTSA had a new "interactive video experience" coming soon?

they released a 3 song Live ep on spotify https://play.spotify.com/track/2aLh08M4u4PKLhpCe9lQVa

it's a semi acoustic set at a church in Germany 9-4-13

I can't even use spotify, so I had to track down an original recording and split it up into individual songs.

I hope they eventually release all these tracks on vinyl. It's really good

What's the tour merch looking like?
I'm seeing them in two weeks and need to know how much money to put aside.

How much? Used to see them for about $50 in store but never picked one up because I wasn't sure about quality. How does it sound?

It was $40. It's defiantly a bootleg but I'd say it's a higher quality bootleg. Not perfect but it's an awesome live set. I found it on discogs for $35 with shipping from Europe. None for sale in the US via discogs I believe. If you're a QOTSA fan or Them Crooked Vulters fan I would get it. It's the entire album and two non album tracks. I don't own the studio album but this works as an excellent place holder for now.

P.S. My record player isn't the best and my setup speaker isn't great. It doesn't sound nearly as good as the vault live albums but I think it's good enough to own.

Cool, thanks for the info. Maybe if I run across one again, I will pick it up. I am definitely a TCV and QOTSA and Dave Grohl (and JPJ, I know) fan so I can't really turn down anything they are on.
