12. Why silkscreening?

12. Why do you use silkscreening to print your art?

The colors, the texture, the process, the smell...all of these things.
I always said, if I had to fuck a guy... I mean had to, if my life depended on it... I'd fuck Elvis.

Sometimes people ask me why I like silkscreens better than others types, like offset printing or whathaveyou. It's a tough question. Silkscreens are almost like a cross between a painting and a print. When I tell people that the inks are thick and layered and you can scratch them if you tried, that seems to get the point across. Bottom line, I really like them too. They have something extra about them. The texture seems right.
