Re: Dumb questions....
Ah. More good info.
You know someone with a poster tube that has straps is serious about posters
I'll toss one of those trash bags in my suitcase and see about what sort of tubes are available locally...and whether or not it'll fit in my bag. Heck, maybe I'll bite the bullet and just carry-on an empty Tube. Hopefully this is a 'lovely' poster for a change...i'm not feeling most of the ones I've seen.
****just saw your pic! Nice! I doubt I can find something like that locally, but will have a quick look around!

Re: Dumb questions....
Fingers crossed I can get one of those. Seems preferable to a Tube.
Thanks!

Hehe. In my case, it would confirm that you are never too old (50) to be a dork

Can someone tell me the width these Dead Weather posters have been/are?
I've found my yazoo tube from my swirl poster and am wondering it I can cut it down some...

Nevermind. I just looked at ebay and the dimensions apparently are not consistent.

Well, you are starting your rock concert career in style!LaurieAK wrote:This is my first 'rock' concert. I'm stoked!
And I just booked tiks the other day to see Leonard Cohen in....drum roll....Nashville in November...
It's all good
Hope you remembered earplugs! (Not only do they save your hearing, they also filter out most of the noise you don't want, so you actually hear better with plugs...)
I saw Leonard Cohen at Coachella this year and it was absolutely amazing. People around me had attended his concert in LA earlier, and said it went three hours, so you definitely get your money's worth.
Nashville is a great town...especially fun to hit for a gig.
Peace!

Re: Dumb questions....
I had the Best time!
So good, I grabbed tiks for New Orleans and Dallas next month day after I got back.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Leonard. That I found the tiks I wanted in Nashville was a pure bonus. Looking forward to seeing the town and maybe (haha) checking out Third Man.
And I did bring earplugs to the first concert in Vancouver, but couldn't find them once I was there. I was so dizzy the next day I wasn't sure if I'd make it to the second concert...but did. Using the plugs really helped.

Re: Dumb questions....
I think this thread title is appropriate for my question
Can you buy posters/merch if you are not attending, i.e. no ticket??
I'm in the UK but have a friend who is on vacation in the US and staying two blocks from
one of the shows. He is not a DW fan so is not interested in the show but i would love him
to pick me up some bits if he can.

This was a 1 time situation but I remember at MSG, you didn't have to be inside to get some merch.Kaber wrote:merch is usually on sale inside so unlikely to have access to it without a ticketchris865 wrote:I think this thread title is appropriate for my question

Re: Dumb questions....
Well, here I go again with this subject heading...
The Bonaroo contest with twitter: Where the heck is the 'form' you fill out to be entered into this contest?
I clicked the 'twitter this' thing when they first announced it and never did come across or find anything to fill out.

Yeah, I don't know.. I tried but the download didn't work or anything. I think the form might just be "twitter id" with one blank..
