..so much of dead weather whenever it comes on the radio. A bunch of their songs do actually. Really great band either way...

Great band. There is a thread dedicated to them here

viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2132

New album is not as strong as first IMO but still better than HH or SOC.

Ahh damn. Guess I'm way too late on this one eh? I love their last album and thought this way back then but wasn't big on this forum yet so I didn't post anything about this. Glad others agree though :)

Just to let you know, Band of Skulls actually supported the Dead Weather - when they played The Roundhouse, London (June 2010).

The fact that they sound just like the DW didn't go unnoticed & I'm sure that was half the reason they were asked to open for them.

Ya, from all the videos I've seen of BOS they don't have much of a presence on stage other than standing their and playing.

Lots of bands have this way of conserving themselves to push the sound as opposed to possessing the image and the sound ... if the sound is good then the sound is good regardless ... thats kinda how i feel about that Chicago band called Russian Circles ... you ever hear these guys??

they are a good example of what i was trying to describe ... love their sound and they give everything they got

im not sure that the recordings and videos that i have heard match the physical intensity that they 'install in some blend of auric and proximic density sort of sense' ... i get that feeling with a lot of Jacks work where there is no escaping the music passing through a body

I still don't understand why everyone compares them to TDW, I really don't think they sound anything alike.
