Rough Trade indicates a poster with their (?) edition
double heavyweight vinyl (side four is etched) in a gatefold sleeve with a poster edition of 'horehound'
as I mentioned on LR 1000 for UK only must mean that out of the full pressing (it has a TMR008 catalogue number and not a RT one)
1000 copies only will be sold in UK
just my guess

I'm inclined to think that the "poster" may just be a folded regular poster in the album, like Broken Boy Soldiers has, but I could be wrong, just speculating. Strange that they mention it specifically though.

The RT price tag does seem stiff for a new album. Wonder what the story will be for the US?

Starting today you can get your double-album dose of black magic riffs, fuzzed-out guitorgan and painful peons to the devil-knows-what right here straight from the source...Third Man Records. The Dead Weather’s full length gut-punch Horehound is now available for pre-order on our shop page.
Horehound comes as a double-LP with a breath-taking Rob Jones art etching on side 4 and lovingly housed in a thick-as-a-thieves gatefold sleeve. This is a jaw-dropping record with the packaging to match.

The information:
THE DEAD WEATHER - Horehound double-LP taking pre-orders now and will begin shipping on July 14th, 2009.
The costs:
USA - $25
CANADA & MEXICO - $30
THE REST - $35

As with every Third Man release these prices are inclusive of postage. This is a heavy chunk of wax, so this is a real bargain for folks buying directly from us.

Please, as always, take extra care when you place your order to select the correct shipping territory from the drop down menu in our shop page, and please double check all your information is correct on your Paypal account. This ensures much faster shipping for you and everybody else and makes the world all the more terrific.

Be sure you check the Dead Weather on tour (currently killing it in the UK) and stay tuned for more exciting news from Third Man soon.

Not bad at all, much better than the UK price from Rough Trade.

Definitely
I just ordered from TMR and that Rough Trade order is going for cancellation
I am waiting a few days to see if it is different from the US version (which I doubt)
RT wont charge until shipping day so I have plenty of days until then

Do note though that one nice thing about Rough Trade is that if you order from the US they do take the VAT off, so that does drop the price a bit. Postage has gotten a bit steep from England lately though - got to keep Postman Plod supplied with tea I suppose.

I wonder why they are not putting the ICLAB 12" on sale and save on shipping for people who order both
(I mean TMR will save on shipping.Keeping these low prices that include shipping costs mean that the lose from profit
of the item sold)

evidently so me record stores are getting lithographs with the record...

anyone knows more about that?
US stores?
or only when you visit the store?
Perhaps that's the poster that Rough Trade refers or its still the etching?
omg! am flipping out!

Its from Insound

http://www.insound.com/The_Dead_Weather ... /INS60248/
http://www.insound.com/The_Dead_Weather ... /INS58569/

and its valid for both formats.
Dont be a sucker like me and order the LP
I did that and it didnt cross my mind it would be for the cd too
Thankfully International shipping was the same for either format so I paid more for the CD-LP difference

I contacted insound asking how will they ship the poster and got the reply

me:
I just placed and order with number for a Dead Weather 12"
that comes with a free lithograph.
I would like to ask if my order qualifies for a litho or if they are already gone.
If I am getting one I would like to ask if you are sending them in a tube or folded.
insound:
It shouldn’t be a problem to send the lithograph. All pre orders are usually fulfilled with the bonus goodies!
If you need anything else let me know!
Kimberly

me:
Thanks for that
I would also like to know if these are being sent rolled or folded
insound:
We have not received them yet so I am unable to say.
Rest assured, we always send posters how we receive them. For example, if they are sent from the factory folded we send them folded. If they arrive flat, we send them flat. We don’t tamper with the posters in any way while shipping.
