So odd. This might be the first CD I've bought in ages. The artwork looks similar to the bespoke t-shirts they'll be churning out on record release day at Third Man this Friday.

"Beyond new Dead Weather wares (some of which are VERY fancy!) and tasty treats, we will be creating limited edition (meaning, FRIDAY ONLY) super-soft t-shirts in three exclusive designs using the "Dodge and Burn" printing technique after which the record takes its name. The technique (as demonstrated in the video below) uses varying degrees of opacity on a stencil and good, ol' sunlight to imprint an image onto a surface — in this case, a t-shirt. The Dead Weather may be "sun people" after all.

Here's the full list of what we've got planned... though, knowing us, there may be a few surprises up our sleeve/in our stacks. The fun begins at 10am, and lasts as long as our supplies do.

VERY LIMITED EDITION While-U-Wait Dead Weather ultra-soft t-shirts "DODGED AND BURNED" (Cyanotype) made before your eyes!
New Dead Weather Merchandise!
Champagne toasts!
Cupcakes!
Beer & Corn Hole on the Patio!
Instant Photos (OF YOU!) shot by Angelina Castillo!
Mas Tacos Por Favor Food Truck!

So, stop on by during the day on Friday to toast to the launch of one of our most electrifying releases to date and hopefully take home some one-of-a-kind finds! If you can't make it Friday, we are giving away free Dead Weather t-shirts with a purchase of $20 all week! See you soon!"

Awesome cover for the CD version. I think I might prefer over the standard vinyl cover.

Can anybody please explain the 6 fingers business? Is it supposed to mean something? Is it a reference to something?

The ancient Incans had a six fingered king who Dodged capture from the white devils for many years. He was eventually aprhended and promptly Burned at the stake. Some say he was also a sick bass player.

You'll have to ask Rob Jones for that. He designed the album.
