Aaaahhhh, makes my heart go pitter-pat just to look at that. As one of the folks who was not at that show, I can't wait to see this the first time. Definitely happy for those of y'all who will get to re-live it.

This thread has made me begin compulsively F5ing the Vault news page.

What if we got an all Racs pack similar to one of the all Stripes packs or the all DW pack?? I cant imagine something better, the Racs are probably my favorite Jack band (which I know might be blasphemous around these parts.)

That is true, but blu-ray allows for FAR better audio and visual quality. Having the option for a better quality video on blu-ray would be awesome.

I kind of hope this will end up being a stand alone release like Montreux, they need to put something in the vault that isn't live material like Boscobel Blues.

That would be so awesome and overdue. We need us some Raconteurs. A full blown Vault package of them would be just fine with me.

A good blu ray player will up-convert the video to near blu ray specs. The audio is the difference. On a DVD it's going to be Dolby Digital on Blu Ray it can be DTSHDMA, which is some good stuff. But, most times I end up listening to it in 2 channel unless its a great mix for the surround sound. Even so, the 2 channel mix sounds better on blu ray due to less compression.
