Jack's new amp?

Post by td3 »

Just curious if anyone has figured out what the new amp is that Jack is using with The Raconteurs? Can't tell if he rehoused the old Silvertone or if he's using something completely new. Did a bit of searching and haven't found anything.

A slightly blurry shot. But gives you a full pic.

There are a few glimpses of it here, too.

I've owned my share of Silvertones and, even rehoused, that one doesn't look much like the layout they use. It's obviously a custom job designed to match the copper look. But for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. It's certainly cool.

Looks like a Fender Blackface to me.

Again - that would be a MASSIVE modification. Fender amp tubes hang down. This one has knobs on the bottom, more like a Marshall. It's a head scratcher, for sure. The top of the head is perforated ... very cool.

I was looking at the wrong one (I was referring to the BF in the blurry pic...didn't even check the other link).
