This topic is dedicated to any poor souls who trespass against The Raconteurs gigposter for their show in Cincinnati 2008 by Rob Jones.

The background from this print (as well as a few others) is The Creation of Light by Gustave Doré. You'll notice that when the cowboys are in the lighter part of the background they represent good, and then have grown wings and are evil in the dark. That is true for the other prints using this background as well, I believe.

I can't take credit for noticing that on my own. It came from "the man" himself.
