This is an off and on thing, but why am I now getting messages when someone replies to the pre-order thread? I don't think I am "following" it or "subscribed" to it or whatever. Also I am receiving an email when people send me a PM again. I used to have that turned on but then it stopped. It recently started up again but not for everyone...

Does anyone know of a pressing plant that will do only one or two copies of a record?

I found one a few years ago and had talked to them and had it all planned out, but didn't have the money at the time, now I want to get it done.

My girlfriend and I started out the first 4 years of our relationship long distance with us both going away to school and only seeing each other in the summers so our song became "Wish you were here - Pink Floyd" (yes I know the real meaning behind the song) and so when I move to Ireland this fall for a year, I want to get our song pressed on a 45 and the b-side be me doing an acoustic cover and then i want to design the cover and center labels as well as add a few inserts inside like photo strips of us together on trips. I know there are a few places that will do it. It was pricey to just get one, but I want to mail it home to her while i am gone..

I know there are a ton of people on here that are into pressing vinyl now days, so hopefully one of you can help me out...maybe Grim or Jett or one of you other labels..

Edit: Has anyone ever heard of these guys or dealt with them? http://www.customrecords.com/custom_mad ... cords.html

My question would be whether or not you can press a PF song or not. I certainly don't know the rules about that though. Love the idea. Very cool and I hope it works out for you!

A lathe cut is definitely the best option, check out this guy - he pressed one for me: http://www.dasrecordautomat.com

Not sure about the PF song due to copyright, maybe if you told him your story you could convince him otherwise...

I have a random question about the early entry to Jacks shows.

There's an original posting saying submit all the info for the show you're going to, but then there's newer posts saying "Tulsa" is now open. or ""Oklahoma" is now open.

Do we have to wait till the show we're requesting early entry becomes its own TMR post a day or two before the show or can I put in for the shows I'm attending now even though they;re a month away?
Hey, it's just a fucking record. Chill.

You only submit for the show you are going to as it is announced. Not a month or two early...

I have told them the quick story on things and since I am customizing the cover with personal photos and what not, they are ok with pressing a copy for me, even though it's copywrite protected. I am not selling it or making money off it....quite the opposite actually..it's an expensive little gift..haha

Don't use that Australian company! Youll pay more in shipping than you will for the record!

I didn't think it was too bad, they were super efficient - fast turnaround time and quality products. Kept me updated every time a stage was complete and packaged very well. You pay for what you get!
