Re: NASCAR
I was lucky enough to jump on over to Bristol after RSD in Nashville this year. Thank you NASCAR for changing up the schedule this year to allow it to be a weekend I was down in Tennessee anyway.
We showed up pretty early and it was rained out almost all day. It was my girlfriends first race and she's not big on NASCAR to begin with so I felt bad for her, but there is nothing like Bristol under the lights

I'd say that still ranks above that duck people race they have in TX.

Re: NASCAR
Being the sponsor of a race gives a ton of opportunities though. When I was in Darlington, SC for the Bojangles 500 last year, I think almost all the food at the track was from Bojangles. It was my first time having it and it was amazing. I've been to the south a few times since and had it a few times and even turned others onto it. So that was a good investment for Bojangles if there are others like me.cwja wrote:I'd say that still ranks above that duck people race they have in TX.
Other sponsors will give out free products at the track or whatever. SpongeBob is a kids tv show. They can't give out or sell any product at the race and I really don't see all these NASCAR hicks going home and wanting to watch SpongeBob after the race haha
First NASCAR brought in Toyota..now SpongeBob. What next?

First race I went to was when it was still the Winston Cup. Winston had a tent there. I gave them an opened pack of Camels and they gave me a carton of Winstons. Turned out to be a good investment for them.

Exactly...I can't even count on both hands how much free stuff I have received from sponsors at races..cwja wrote:First race I went to was when it was still the Winston Cup. Winston had a tent there. Re: NASCAR
Thanks everyone. Was surprised to get chosen for both sessions. Last year I didn't even get one of them. I was lucky enough to already meet Dale Jr. at the Hall of Fame a few months ago, but with all the other big names here, I couldn't pass it up.
