Just wondering if anyone came across the Eddie Vedder 7" RSD single today? If anyone does, would you mind picking it up for me?

I was at my grandmothers funeral today and didn't get to my local store until almost 5pm. Luckily for me, they held a few pieces back that they knew I was after but there is a bunch of stuff I unfortunately missed out on,

I'm also looking for the White Stripes 7" but I was told they didn't even ship. Did anyone else hear this?

Thanks if anyone can help out.

Is Benroya that great of a set? Anybody ever hear it - or is it just so bloody expensive due to the ltd number?

It's so expensive because it's limited. From the pictures I've seen it's a nice looking set. It's available on cd if you want to check out the music and decide if it's worth pursuing for that reason.

It's not that great, I have a copy. It's similar to the Nirvana Singles boxset - slip case, four records in printed paper sleeves, and a smallish poster. The sound is good, but I haven't directly compared it to the CD. I've only played mine a couple times.

I love his rendition. Great cover of an already great song. Willie's voice brings me back to my childhood and memories of camping and road tripping in our Airstream... if only you'd known as a kid how free you were at the time. Blank clay, we were.

Okay, I'll say it; I think the arrangement on the song is fantastic but his inflection on a lot of the singing just isn't that great. I know you're not supposed to shit on a guy as legendary as Willie, but I just don't think this version is as good as people are hyping it.

"Supposed to" doesn't hold water in my vernacular: if it quacks like a duck....
I will say this: I think much of the affinity I hold for Willie may come from my youth. Familiarity and reminiscing tend to make things larger and more important than they may have necessarily been.
It's hard for me to hear his version without impartial ears.

For those of you who are 10c members, the Deluxe Songbook is back in stock in the goods section. $30....Beats paying $200 on ebay. "Limited Supplies."

The new pearljam.com went live last night in beta mode. They've released the 10c only Vic Theater show from 2007 (the warm-up show before Lollapalooza) if anyone is interested (FLAC, MP3 or Physical CD)

Can a mod please change the name of this thread to just Pearl Jam?

I take offense to the "sucks" part... Pearl Jam is awesome.
