YEAR IN REVIEW (2016)

Post by chaptertwentyone »

Well, we're nearly at the end of 2016 and what a year it's been!
What were some of your favorite and least favorite albums, singles, reissues, merch and so on released this year!?

Yeah I second that. Up until a few days ago I was actually doing alright and looking forward to the holidays for the first time in many years. Thanks to my boss for ruining all of that yesterday. Fuck you boss. Fuck you 2016

In addition to what the other guys said about 2016, I'm gonna say the standard GBMS album being released. It was about damn time.

Yeah! I'm sure the standard release is on a lot of people's list around these parts.

My favorite album of the year is the new STRFKR. Just saw them Saturday night and it was awesome.

The only album I went to buy this year was the White Stripes release for RSD. Went all the way to TMR for it and they'd run out. The girls made some joke about waiting for a time similar to that of GBMS general release and that was it. I did a 8,000 mile road trip for that!

My hat goes off to Clem and his work on the Slice of Wax label. It's the only thing I've had regularly coming in the mail outside of TMR and the quality has been solid in my opinion.

Was David Bowie this year? I give you credit for me trundling along to that exhibition - that was the coolest exhibition I've seen in a long while

I would say that musically it was a disappointment .
Way to many deaths in the music world.
Other than the Kills new LP I haven't bought much
