I know they had to pay everyone involved with the book (including every interview) and with the 45 included, that's not a bad price for a limited edition of 500.
Working in the book publishing biz, I respectfully disagree. $95 is :wtf:

Isn't it simply the regular edition with a slipcase and* a 7"? Please let me know if I'm wrong about that detail. (Not counting it's signed by BB.)

But hey—it'll sell out, and that's the goal.

*No slipcase, I was mistaken.

I hadn't seen any mention of a slip case, but that would be nice. But yeah just seems like the regular edition plus a signature plate and a 7". If they were selling this 7" for $35 I would think lot's of folks would be complaining...but thats just me. And I have stacks of signature plates that are normally free with special preorders, walk into your local B&N and tons of books will have them in them.

What a difference a year makes.

I paid £18 for a book signed in person by Carrie Fisher and £45 for one signed in person by Brian Eno.

Is this book desirable because of the 7?

Just the special edition. I'm assuming the regular edition (not signed/no 7") will be easy and plentiful to find for $35-40. (Is the regular edition really retailing for $60?!?)

MSRP on the regular is $60, glad I got my order in on Amazon early...I thought that $37 price was high.
Can't imagine it will be long till they are cheap again at B&N or Amazon though.

It'll be $10 in a year.

Rough trade said the Jack White 7 is going to be £23.99 when they have it in.

Pondering whether it's worth queuing for that - local has a Lionel Ritchie album I know Dave wants - maybe could trade
