EBay global shipping
Anyone know how the eBay globel shipping plan works, as in do you just send the item to the centre? Do you also add the address your sending to? Having a little problem with an item i bought where the seller wasn't given my address, so how dose the centre know where to forward my item? Any help folks plz

Where is the seller? It's supposed to work that the buyer pays shipping, the seller ships the item to the 3rd party shipper, and the 3rd party shipper makes the arrangements to deliver the item to the approved designated foreign country. How the 3rd party knows where to ship the item, I'm not sure. I would assume the seller prints and includes some sort of standard form that includes the address of the final destination, the sellers information so the 3rd party can provide them with tracking number, and verification that the fees have been paid through eBay. That last part is just a guess, I've never used it and opted out of it through eBay.

What I do know is that I don't buy from sellers who use the global shipping programme.

I think there is some kind of code number sent to the seller, plus to be honest i prefer this global shipping tax is caculated before you bid so you know what your paying, unless you have talked with the seller to mark a low value, because if an item is sent to uk and our customs get hold of it we incure a further charge on top of any import tax, also with the global shipping i seem to get higher bids before this, last time TMR messed up on the lables i was taxes £30 on my vault pack but with the globel i can did up to £77 before i get taxed.
