Thank you, Tulsa. I can't even lie to you. I love your town so much. Tulsa is more America than America is America. God bless you. I love you. Thank you so much.

Any Prince fans out there might be interested in knowing that Tidal is going to stream Prince's concert in Baltimore this Sunday for free (meaning you can listen without being a subscriber)-- http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... l-20150508

They're also going to match all donations made through their site to benefit Baltimore youth organizations.

I think I just got sold on Tidal.

Interesting article from my favorite writer on Grantland about Tidal. It's mostly about Jay-Z, but many of his points would apply to JW and his fans as well.

I just read that there is now a Beta desktop application for both Windows and Mac, includes offline option based on the Stereogum article.

"Apple Music will change the way you experience music forever."

What utter fuckin' bullshit.

And Tidal gets mocked?!?

This is my second-favorite Apple Music moment:

Interviewer: Can you be more specific about the economics? Other services spell out how much they pay to rightsholders in detail.

Apple executive Eddy Cue: We won't.

I saw this Tim Cook quote from yesterday....it can't be real, can it?

So I'm looking to ditch SiriusXM and move entirely to Rhapsody/Pandora/Tidal which I already have subscriptions to. Alt Nation, XMU, Underground Garage and Octane will be missed. I'd be interested in ongoing recommendations for playlists, etc to fill the void since on the go I just want something to play and don't have 10 minutes to navigate Tidal . Any suggestions?

I haven't taken the time to put together any playlists yet, I've mostly been gathering favorite artists and albums so far, but I love the heck out of this TMR playlist. Not sure if it suits your tastes, but it definitely suits mine and I really hope that they continue to add more to it--- http://listen.tidalhifi.com/playlist/85 ... bad33a74ba

And apparently my free trial period ended the other day, because I was charged for a $9.99 subscription. Guess I need to go ahead and take advantage of the Vault dealio. I've been able to listen enough so far to make it worth $5 a month.

If you're doing the $10 subscription cancel it now, it'll run until the end date. Then wait a few weeks, they've been pretty hard up and I've received several emails offering 3 months for the price of 1 for the $10 service even though I trialed the $20 service.

Too late, already applied my Vault voucher. But thank you for the tip anyway.

Thanks Kali. The TMR one is surprisingly good. I found it interesting to hear so many of the artists next to one another. I was thinking more about the existing curated playlists. Playing them at random hasn't really worked out. As you mentioned, I suppose I"ll have to accumulate artists and play them through.

Supposedly that TMR one was curated by Jack. There's also a TMR Blue Series playlist curated by Tidal- http://listen.tidalhifi.com/playlist/1c ... a3d381d9ca

At some point, I'm going to begin exploring playlists by genre. I have to be careful listening at work, though, between my boss and what might be overheard when I'm on the phone, I gotta keep it mellow.

Just found this one, though, that looks like fun-- http://listen.tidalhifi.com/playlist/ec ... 5c846b8849
