Streaming services are evil but a vice I can't kick day-to-day. I got sucked into the Spotify vortex because everyone and their aunt Gertrude share their playlists on the platform. But I recently started using my Tidal subscription in earnest since coming across the latest numbers (well, from 12/2018...) If there's anything Tidal does particularly well, please let me know because it isn't jumping out at me.

That's good to know. I've been using Tidal every day for quite a while now. It really isn't anything special when compared to other streaming services, other than I prefer the interface. But the quality is outstanding and it's hard to stump its selection. I like it.

Tidal is the only music streaming service I have used outside of Pandora. What I enjoy doing with Tidal is scrolling down on an artists main page and seeing “similar artists”. Sometimes it reminds of some I haven’t listened to in awhile, forgot about, or sometimes discover new artists. I don’t know if that is unique to Tidal or not.

Hard for me to get mad at Tidal when Spotify's Ek has been such an asshat as of late. I really wish they weren't the standard. Tidal still pays more out to artists than anyone aside from Napster. Also, Spotify is essentially owned by four of the big labels so they screw independents by design.
