Did they switch it out to the Death 7"?
Not when I was there Saturday.
Wouldn't that kinda defeat the propose of it being a mystery...?
what the death 7" sound like...?
What I think JonnyH was saying is that it HAD been something else, and he suspected that it might be Death. I could be wrong about his intentions, though.
And what I was saying, is that it didn't sound like Death to me.

Well everyone thought it was Rodriguez that was in there. And there is that article in another thread about Third Man releasing a Death 7" this June. So I was asking if they switched out whatever was in the monkey band(presumably Rodriguez) and then put the Death 7" in it's place.

Right, exactly what I thought you meant.
That's why I answered the way I did. I think Nick misunderstood either what you were asking or what I was saying.

If it IS Rodriguez, it would be amazing. He is one of the greatest musicians of all time, IMO. I liked him before the movie, and am happy that he's getting all the new attention and discoveries because of the movie and oscar! He really is amazing!
The Death single should be amazing too. Love the band. The D'Bombs covered "Politicians In Your Eyes', which is on a Bombs single and a Death Single from 1976!
The song on the Monkey Band is "Waiting around to die" originally by Townes Van Zandt and has been covered by many artist. The Lemonheads covered it and many others on their last album Varshons which was produced by none other than Gibby Haynes. The Lemonheads have a couple key musicians in the group. Most well known would be Ryan Adams but also a key founding member was Evan Dando.... who also covers "Waiting around to die" on his solo tours. So there you have it.... Evan Dando(The Lemonheads) is the new Blue Series.

The best cover of that song is White Buffalo Woman's version... ;0 Good job.
So the new Blue Series is The Lemonheads or solo Evan Dando?
