Third Man Records third anniversary party ( and contest)

Post by Kali Durga »

Surprised no one else noticed this today in the Rumors section-- http://modlife.com/thirdmanrecords/blog
3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY posted by Ben S at 13:16PM

It’s nearly 3 year since the inception of this little project/business/valentine to the music industry we call Third Man Records. We feel we’ve accomplished a lot in the past three years, here’s some highlights:

· Over 550,000 vinyl records pressed

· 60 plus artists and rising

· 140 releases

1 Rolling Record Store

li 1 live show by JERRY LEE LEWIS

1 Vault

R 2 raffled Go Carts

13 13 Missing Interns

Anyway, that info gives you just a small idea of what we’ve been about and done since we started. And yes, sometimes we get a little flush of pride when we think about our accomplishments here at the little label that could so we figured “hey, let’s throw ourselves a party”

So on Thursday March 8th we’ll be holding an invite only celebration for our friends, family and supporters here at Third Man Records. A couple amazing bands, a slick DJ, food and drink…the works.

We obviously couldn’t have a party without inviting some of people who make it all possible (that’s you) so we’d like to offer 12 guest list spots (plus one guest each) to Vault members only. Now, if you’re a winner and choose to not bring a guest, please let us know ASAP so we can offer that spot to another entrant.

We’ll do this just like we did the listening party. Please email: vault@thirdmanrecords.com with “THIRD MAN 3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY” in the subject line, your vault name in the body of the email and (why not?) a little bit about yourself as well. We’ll pick the winners randomly and will let you know via email if you’re a winner. Please, again, only enter if you are certain you will be able to attend.

The deadline for entries will be 12 noon CT on Friday March 2nd. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Please see all the important details below:

GUEST LIST SPOTS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE

W/ HELL BEACH & DJ GREG CARTWRIGHT

I'm glad it's on a weeknight. I feel like I miss lots of good shows cause they are on Friday nights and I work night shift on the weekend. Very glad it's on Thursday night.

I'm in. I wonder if they'll pick any of the previous (listening party) winners, or if there will be some repeats!

I was wondering the same thing. Wondering if there will be blunderbuss duplicates. Haven't entered yet, but will be soon. Too bad it'll be another week before we find out, it'll be a nerve wracking week.

I wonder if it would be better to enter later in the contest... fearing that entering early might result in your name/entry getting pushed back by more and more entries.

There again, people who work regular work-weeks (so to speak) miss out when they're not on weekends, so I suppose it depends on people's personal situations. Glad it works for you, hope you get picked.

Oh yeah, I understand. I'm in school to be a teacher, so I know my weeknights out at shows will be short lived.
