Damn.
I really should have read into this earlier.
Contest entries will be accepted between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on November 29, 2016 and 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 5, 2016 (“Submission Period”).
Also, it's officially known as;
The Jack White Snipe Scavenger Hunt Flyaway Contest

I’M GONNA KILL MY BROTHER JACK
I’M GONNA STAB HIM RIGHT IN THE BACK

I have no clue how the billboards fit in, except that there's presumably one in each of the cities. And why, given that the album's been out for months?

Oh, I get it, they're asking for the address/location of the billboard in each case. It didn't make sense to me that the tin man would be in a joint that no longer exists, but the billboard he's on is on the spot where the restaurant once was. This could have been made clearer, however. :crazy:

It's the holiday season, it has major label backing for promotion, and it probably didn't sell as well as expected for the majors so they come up with a gimmicks to try to sell more units.

And it's leading up to a new video. Anyone care to guess which song that might be for?

You have to live in the united states:
The “Jack White Snipe Scavenger Hunt Flyaway Contest” (the “Contest”) may only be entered by U.S. legal
residents located in the 48 contiguous states (collectively, the “Contest Territory”). Entries originating from any other
jurisdiction are not eligible. This Contest is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States.
Your tweet has to have :
  • 1. to give the exact location of the photo they are showing.
    2. a creative reply on why you want to go to TMR Detroit
    3. replied to the tweet of Thirdman (so not a new composed tweet) + using the right hashtag
Thats a lot of stuff to fit all into a 140 characters tweet.
To enter the Contest:
(i) use your knowledge of Jack White and the Contest to make a determination as to the
location of the photographed snipe Tweeted on Third Man Records’ official Twitter page (the “Tweet”);
(ii) compose a creative Reply in which you express your reasons for wanting to visit Third Man Records in Detroit, MI (the
“Reply”);
(iii) Tweeted your Reply underneath the Tweet using one of the provided hashtags, as applicable to the
Contest Territory you are entering from (collectively and individually, the “Hashtag”) during the Submission Period;
“More people know a fragment of his music than know his name.”

I'm sure there's at least a dozen people going and deleting their original tweets now that they realize it's not a race.

I'll reiterate what I said over in the Vault-- I hereby volunteer to be anybody's guest!

AHH, Waterloo didn't have a billboard. My theory about billboards is out. At least you have time to respond once you find the place though.

I wonder if you're permitted to enter for every city, even if you're not from there? If so, I rehash the same image, but change the text will I win?

I just read through all of this and it confused the hell out of me...

Also, I am not American, so I'm out anyways....even though I live closer to TMR Detroit than probably 99% of you..
