Best Jack White LP (Votes cleared, Lazaretto added!)

Post by dreamover »

We're very close to a new Jack White LP release. I'm curious which albums Swirlers would consider essential. Because I know it's impossible to pick just one, pick your top two favorite Jack White LPs, based on whichever criteria you prefer.

EDIT: Added Lazaretto and it cleared all the votes. Everyone needs to revote. You can still change your vote at any time!

this is really hard because my favorite white stripes album is always changing. and as much as i love the raconteurs, sea of cowards is my favorite non-WS album.

The White Stripes - De Stijl
The White Stripes - Elephant

Hands-down for me. Jack's finest work thus far.

Can I change my selections each week or when my mood changes?

Yes, yes you can. I've already changed mine once. Number one is easy, it's the second one that could be either of three options depending on my mood.

#2 is difficult. #1 is "Satan", always has been, probably always will be. I went for WBC as it only had one vote and deserves more.

It's very difficult to choice. But To me it's Blunderbuss, I really love it, each songs is awesome and Get Behind Me Satan, because it's a special album of White Stripes to me. Different sound, more instruments, blues and sweet. And it's fun (or maybe not) but I haven't GBMS in LP, I dream of a repress in 2015 to celebrate 10 years of the album.

Those results are gonna end up fluctuating wildly.

I'm actually shocked that 'The White Stripes' hasn't gotten more love! To me that album is perfect and sums up everything the white stripes were about!

De Stijl and Horehound, but it was tough to choose. Depends on what I am doing, so I chose my two favorite "drinking wine at home listening to vinyl" albums. GBMS and Elephant are my favorite albums when I go for a run. Raconteurs for long drives.

It's interesting to see all the votes for Blunderbuss. I would have expected more of the Stripes albums to outstrip it.
