Some things I haven't read yet from the posts here...
Jack had an old 50's style television hooked up through his amp. His "III" logo was on the screen. When his guitar made noise the logo was manipulated. It warped or scrambled depending on what he was playing. The louder he played, the more scrambled. Looked cool.
Also, the speakers used in the "High Ball Stepper" video are now on the wall in the Blue Room.
There are 2 lights for recording live shows in the Blue Room. One says "Recording" and one says "Cutting." The "Recording" sign is used for recording to tape. The "Cutting" sign is used for live-to-acetate.
The DJ had great taste. He actually used 2 turntables and had a box of his own records. Good stuff.

Thank you for reminding me of this! Also, those were apparently his $18,000 apiece tube amps on the stage, according to someone I talked to.shaneoftheroad wrote:Jack had an old 50's style television hooked up through his amp. I've seen one link to a Consequence of Sound report, but don't think if it was the same as this very detailed hour-by-hour report, with photos-- http://consequenceofsound.net/2014/04/j ... full-post/

You can see the distorted "III" on the TV behind Jack in this closeup from the cover of Lazaretto.

Spotted that on some early photos, was wondering just what was going on.
Thank you for clearing that up.
Reminiscent of the "III" spotlight from the Blunderbuss tour.

Behind White sat the sole piece of set dressing: an old tube television that was somehow connected to his guitar. When he wasn’t touching the strings, the TV showed a still image of White’s iconic “III”, but the image reacted to his guitar. In other words, the louder he played, the more distorted the image became. It was fascinating to watch a visual representation of the sound he got from his guitar.
