Black Friday2015 at TMR Detroit/Roll call

Post by dreamover »

I'm really surprised there's not a specific thread for this yet. I've seen a few people mention that they were planning on going.

Also, since it seems a good bit of details are still under wraps, what are your plans if you're attending?

This thread makes me want to cry

It's tough to say when you haven't a clue what is planned.....

So far I know it's a new store, some bands are playing, and they are selling some Motown reissues. Oh, and there's going to be a chair. Not even sure I can sit in it. Or when the store opens. Or closes. Is it open on Sunday?

I briefly considered calling TMR in Nashville to ask that, seeing as how it's only a bit over 7 hours to Detroit from where I live. Had a crazy notion to drive up there Saturday night and come back Monday morning. Someone talk me out of it.

That didn't clarify if simms can sit in that chair or not.

I'll get over there at some point, but not Friday. Buttons for the new store look cool. Would like a poster, but not busting a nut to make it happen.

This.

At this point I'm more interested in what sort of novelties are in the store, how it's arranged, where the pressing plant is going, etc.

Excitement and chaos are the only things you can count on.

I just drove past TMR, half a dozen tents set up in line. Looks like someone set up a buffet for the campers.

Apparently Third Man provided the Thanksgiving buffet, set up by Swank and a few of the Nashville staff.
