Neil Young ISO

I am listening to his entire discography from the beginning and updating the list with stars just to let myself know what ones I would like most. 1 star being alright and 3 stars being the most wanted. the (G) means my girlfriend owns it and I don't, so I may not go for those right away either. I am going to start by tracking down the 3 star albums, brand new if possible.

Let the hunt begin.

I'm fortunate here, man-I have three shops within 15 minutes, and another I have yet to check out, about 30 minutes away.

I am going through everything right now and making a list of ones I would like to have new, if I can find them. Obviously other ones I am not as interested in, I will take something used and in decent shape

Don't know how far down the wormhole you're going, but he plays and is credited on PJ's Merkin Ball 7", which was a companion to Mirror Ball.

Please leave your list up. I'm kind of working on the same thing. I have a lot of CD's and some vinyl.
I know it's not the same but if you want me to burn you some CD's I would be glad to. I have 21 Neil Young CD's. I would have to check on the records, no extra's though.

If you think TMR is expensive. You will be broke if you get all those on vinyl in decent condition !!! Good Luck. I've been wanting to do the same. I have the old stuff, some new stuff I need on vinyl.

Have you considered his box sets on Blu Ray or DVD, believe it or not they sound very good. Less compression on those. Good way to get it "all" if you have a good player or DAC.

I would love a vinyl collection though.

I have everything of his digitally and I have a bunch of CDs but never use them. I know his stuff is expensive...haha That is why I don't have much on vinyl. I want to start getting them now though.

I have a bunch of his Blurays that I love to watch. Great stuff

from what I've found his stuff from the 90s is a bit more expensive than the classics. After The Gold Rush, Everybody Knows This Is Knowhere and etc are generally under 10 and on a good day, in the dollar bin. yet I've only seen albums like Ragged Glory in my local shops for around $20 bucks.

Ya, I am going to start some diggin' at my local shops soon. I am going to start my search with 3 star albums only, unless another album comes up and I can't pass up the price.

3 star albums I would like to get new copies when possible. I know there have been many represses of a lot of his stuff, so I will try for those and if not, then a really nice used copy.
2 star albums I will get new if possible and if not then good used copies
1 star albums I will just get a decent playing copy
