i just watched that video again the other night... its a nice contrast on how the Stripes never seemed to do a 'regular tour' but made sure to enjoy themselves and make their way around the community as a part of learning from others and sharing their interests with more than just paying fans

gotta love it

This was hands down the thread of the year in my books (maybe of the entire site archive!). Thanks so much for sharing all of the pics and the memories. Much, much appreciated here!

My favourite thing about this thread is you don't have a bunch of tri-coloured records, liquid filled 12"s, or an entire Rob Jones sub from the past tour. Just some incredible memories and a few souvenirs that really only you hold value to.

Memories are the best part of anyone's collection.

Thank you again for sharing your collection with us.

Aw, the idea that those pics are the end of this thread makes me sad. Please tell us you've got more to share in the coming year.

+1 This is by far the most intresting thread on here because of the reasons listed above. Thank you so much for sharing these awesome stories and photos.

thanks. Yeah it was a monumental occasion.
You might notice the strips of white gaff tape on the Fender Rhodes road case. That was our (not so subtle) way of requesting songs.
John and I would occasionally write songs on tape, and plaster them in places the crowd couldn't see: monitor speakers, under mic stands, etc..
Never having seen a set list.. ever, it was our way of prodding Jack into obscure/fav songs when he was pacing the stage, summoning the next explosion.

That's pretty awesome. What were some of the songs you would usually request?
