UGWNL Scene (bootleg vinyl?)
I watched UGWNL again last night. There's a scene where Blackwell is sleeping on a little bed behind Jack and Meg while they're doing an interview for the camera. At one point they're holding what appear to be metal records but any info about them is mumbled during the scene. I apologize if there's already a thread here somewhere on this topic, I wasn't around then. But do any of you know who showed them the records(Blackwell or the interviewer)? And do you have any idea what they are?

Toward the end of the page is the only reference I could find with a quick search -shaneoftheroad wrote:I watched UGWNL again last night. Thanks for that. Looks like it's still a mystery.

It's the pressing plates that contains their first show.
I thought it was covered in the movie?

It could have been. I was only half paying attention, lots of mumbling.PugFaceRex wrote:It's the pressing plates that contains their first show.

In the movie the interviewer said what hey were and then Jack says "you bootlegged us?"
And I'm pretty sure it had the setlist with it too. It was at the Gold Dollar.

Blackwell is the interviewer. If you watch, you can see him talking at a few points, asking the questions. He's also, of course, the bootlegger.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."

And the video they play over that scene, too. Drool.
