I found out about the site through an ebay purchase and have lurked around a bit. I'd like to say that I've found this to be a great site with a wealth of information. I just recently started collecting vinyl again and am enjoying it to the hilt. I believe I've turned into a TMR junkie of sorts. I have a decent collection of TMR releases and am hoping to expand it with some of the more rare releases. I'm the kind of collector who would rather hold onto a duplicate item in hopes of trade than to sell it. I'm also the kind of collector who will play the vinyl rather than let it age gracefully in a record case. My wife owns original Led Zeppelin that we still spin. Well, I recon that's enough. I hope we get to know one another in the course of things.

Best Regards

Hey Tom,

Kind of you to introduce yourself, and welcome. Please don't rearrange the furniture. And always, ALWAYS put the lid down.

I'll do my best to control myself but I can only tolerate running into furniture so many times before it must be rearranged...

Hello everyone!

I've been a lurker here on the Swirl since October, but I finally decided to come out of my shell and say hello. I've traded with a couple of you through my boyfriend, curseofhalos, but I haven't really been an active member. I'd like to change that. :)

I've been collecting records for about 10 years now, although I don't have that much to show for it. I was more of a casual collector. I'm not quite sure what happened, but in the past year it's become a full on obsession and my collection has more than doubled. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with moving to Nashville. Where I lived before doesn't have any record stores. Right shaneoftheroad? ;)

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. So hi there!

LAURA!!! Welcome to the Swirl!! And yeah, the nearest actual record store is an hour away. But if I'm gonna drive THAT hour I may as well drive another hour and hit Nashville. That's been my philosophy this past year. haha

Good to see you and Nathan here finally. Stick around, it gets interesting.

Hello everybody, brand new member here! (Just registered less than 10 mins. ago.) I've been a fan of Jack White since September 2009. So I totally missed seeing the genius of The White Stripes live in concert as well as The Raconteurs (unless, they'll do a show in NYC). I was fortunate to see The Dead Weather three times, plus Wanda Jackson when Jack performed at her Brooklyn show on January 2011 and I hope we'll all see Jack back on tour, promoting his solo album this year!!

Although I'm not an avid vinyl collector, I do have a decent amount of albums, thanks to The Vault. I try to keep my music genres diverse, but having all vinyls of White Stripes or anything Jack-related is a little goal of mine. :)

And speaking of goals, this year I have to visit TMR and Nashville! It's a must to dive in and touch all the vinyls in that store, haha!

Have a great day :)

Hey! I finally made it over here too. Been a fan for a long time. Kids are old enough now to hang out and jam/listen/ and enjoy my music so I can get back into it too! My son is an awesome 9 year old drummer so he helps out with the "Meg" parts. I hope to waste every last second of my "free" time here..So, yeah. Hi!
