i wonder why you ruled out a test press? many test press lp's have white labels here is one i found today on discogs.

White Stripes, The - Live In Las Vegas (3xLP, Promo, Ltd, W/Lbl)
Media Condition: Near Mint (NM or M-)
Sleeve Condition: Generic
white label test pressing. NO skip on track A1!!!, ship save for 10 Euro worldwide! playgrade tested on high end system

Ben Blackwell told me awhile back that it wasn't a test pressing. It was given to a friend of mine by Jack after my friend interviewed Jack and Meg, years back..

I have a generic white label copy and a stamped copy. Both play perfect. No skips anywhere. I had a digital copy (forget where I found it online) that does have the skip. I'm guessing it's a counterweight issue.
