Album: De Stijl

Post by MegBot3000 »

Truth be told, this topic is dedicated to, and is for, and about The White Stripes second album De Stijl.

Could some brainiac please list [in order] the pressings of this record. Country of origin and any variations please. Cheers
I got that deep into variants once before with a collection, please shoot me if I go there again, it will drive you crazy I promise...
But nice stuff for sure.

I have XL version for listening to and the sealed SFTRI in archive. I want to ask if there are (SFTRI) two versions of labels as the first album has (red label with white letters and black labels) or not... Thanks, Jozef

Labels are the same on all three SFTRI versions: insert/non-Rainbo > no insert/non-Rainbo > no insert/Rainbo

I heared of a De Stijl misprint. I think the label-#. is wrong. Any information about this?

Every SFTRI "De Stijl" LP has the catalogue number for "Crystal Gazing, Luck Amazing" by Compulsive Gamblers (SFTRI 572) on the label rather than the correct SFTRI 609

Let's talk about these 13" SXSW copies . . .

I want this and White Blood Cells very, very badly.

The stamp on the inner sleeve reads "Ya'lls Turntable Ain't Big Enough." So cool.

These are very awesome. Anyone know exactly how "limited" they are?

I don't think they said how limited they were. There was reports of very limited quantities at the pop-up store There was speculation of around 300-400 copies per 8" single, so who knows how many or how few of these there are, either out there or in the safe hands of TMR...

This is another record I'm looking to get a hold of again. Looking for the 1st pressing, NM, M, or sealed if at all possible :D Please let me know if you have one for sale or any leads. And please, NO Ebay flippers. I'd rather deal with fellow collectors.

There is a Third Man press of this where Side A - plays Side A of White Blood Cells and Side B - plays Side B of De Stijl. I had it, but I traded it with someone.
