So what did I just buy here?
Bootleg, probably.
Red SFTRI label, cool.
White/pale blue vinyl, odd choice for all the work put in to making this [if it is a bootleg]
Insert, probably not.
Black film strip.
Run outs, don't know [not in hand yet]

Anybody?

Bootleg, there was a brief discussion in the eBay thread. Comes on blue vinyl also.

hey zissou,

Did you find out anything helpful?

I have the same version,
short runout number but with the insert.

It's a legit pressing. It's not the Rainbow pressing from the way I understood it.

I'm not totally sure but it could be a first or second SFTRI pressing.

The non-Rainbo, original SFTRI LPs break down like this:

Matrix: SFTRI - 577 - A / SFTRI - 577 - B (RED CENTRE LABELS) 1st pressing. Includes insert. Light grey filmstrip on cover.
Matrix: SFTRI - 577 - A / SFTRI - 577 - B (RED CENTRE LABELS) 2nd issue, identical disc pressing as 1st, new sleeve. Includes insert. Darker grey filmstrip on cover.
Matrix: SFTRI - 577 - A / SFTRI - 577 - B (BLACK CENTRE LABELS) 2nd pressing (3rd issue). Darker grey filmstrip on cover.

There used to be a photo on this thread showing the difference between the filmstrip greys on the 1st and 2nd issues, but it's gone. If I get a second I'll take a photo of mine for comparison.

I cringed a bit at the mere thought of UO, but it's limited to 2,000 copies, so my 'gotta catch em all' spirit won over

It’s been confirmed it’s white and it’s been confirmed it’s going to be problematic.

Back ordered and improperly packaged.

Best of luck to all you other fools who ordered one like me.
