Well basically I'm after the inchophone singles, but I know they have been for sale at the pop up stores and maybe nashville stores in a little black box with a white stripes ribbon wrapped round. £110 I believe!!
Can anyone help?

I've got an inchophone ( not an official White Stripes one, it's a different colour) and it doesn't seem to want to play my 3 inch White Stripes record . Is anyone else having problems with inchophones that weren't sold with the 3 inch records?

Ooops forgot to say what the problem is - the record stops spinning when the stylus is placed upon it. It seems too heavy for the record.

Mine does that if the batteries are nearly dead, have you tried it with new ones?

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

You need to put the little slipmat thing under the record too

These seem to be popping up a lot lately, anyone know where I can find one online? I'm already getting asked the whole 'what do you want for Christmas?' thing so this would be great. Then I could get my ass up to Nash and get me a 3" box set.

I did use the slipmat, the batteries weren't new but not exactly over used. I'll try it with new batteries and hopefully that will get it to work properly. Thank you very much for your help.

Well, I bought new batteries and have exactly the same problem, the arm seems too heavy for the record and it just stops it spinning when the stylus is placed on the record. I don't have any other three inch records to try on it so I can't say whether it's just a problem with The White Stripes records not being compatible with this player. Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll be able hear my little record being played.

Re: Merch: Inchophone + 7 x 3'' singles
Hi appleblossom,
I had the same problem when my inchophone first arrived. I back-weighted the arm with a coin and for a few plays, even had to press lightly on it to raise the needle. I've found that the more I play the records the better it sounds. The record I've played the most (5 times?) doesn't even need the counterweight any longer. Its such a fine needle, and they are such small grooves, it may need a few revolutions to sit proper. I hope the problem goes away.

Keeping in mind, of course, that once it plays perfectly it will still sound terrible. The inchopone offers the low fidelity that only a fan could love.
