If I were to ask my husband for this as a birthday present (haven't decided what I'm asking for yet), are there specific things we should be aware of? At any given time there are usually one or two of these on ebay. Is it okay to go for the lowest price (as long as it doesn't state any obvious problems)? I do intend on playing this if I were to get it, but will care for it lovingly of course.

There are no known bootlegs of this record and they are ever present on ebay because a great deal of them went to non-fans originally through the subpop singles club. There is variation in the appearance of the red white colour split on the record, like one colour leaking into the other or one colour taking up more/less than half the vinyl. Condition aside, none of these things will effect how it plays!

The sleeve has a subscription form attached inside it. Sometimes this has been torn off or is missing which affects the price.

I need one in the White Stripes box and one in the Sub Pop box, plus the one that has some red splotched in the white area and another in the extra complete set of Sub Pop subscription series V2 singles.It's a problem, but I have no intentions of getting help for it.
