Ben said they can't do 180g coloured vinyl, we've not had an all black LP since Vault 8.

I'm not sure, although I did just re-read the quote and when he said they can't do 180g he was talking about the split colours so maybe it's just those and not the full one-colour LPs.

Re: Album: Elephant
The docs are definitely heavier. 180g, I'm not sure of, but definitely heavy.Getbacktogether wrote:Aren't the Doc reissues colored vinyl 180g?Jamie wrote:Ben said they can't do 180g coloured vinyl, we've not had an all black LP since Vault 8.

I think they can do colored, not splits.

Re: Album: Elephant
I don't have any albums on colored vinyl that are 180g, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, I'm sure there are probably some out there. Though I do have an all black Vault LP that's not Vault 8...Jamie wrote:Ben said they can't do 180g coloured vinyl, we've not had an all black LP since Vault 8.

Re: Album: Elephant
The documents are definitely heavier than the black and blues and the colored Vaults. Not sure if they are 180 gram but they hold up good and lay flat. I so wish they would do the Vaults in thicker vinyl. If the black and blues cant be made thicker than just make them blue. Tired of records that look like a roller coaster while spinning on my turntable.

Re: Album: Elephant
Picked up the regular black 180g version today. Same plates as the RSD version which were V2 plates with the matrix scratched out.
Weights:
Original Disc 2 - 126g
RSD Disc 2 - 139g
Black Reissue Disc 2 - 195g
The 180 gram records from TMR have consistently been in the 180-200g range.
