I just got a fake one in the mail today :(

I ordered it through Discogs, but the seller also sells on e-bay frequently. The name of the store is Black Hole Records - they are based out of Israel.

There were a couple of easy ways to tell this was fake as soon as I looked at it. First of all, I asked him via e-mail to confirm that it was the first pressing. The record itself is red, but the is black and white. Perhaps even more obvious, the back of the cover actually says "Second Pressing" on the back of it. The runouts are all wrong (they say "Italy Records 003). To top it all off, the "sleeve" isn't actually a sleeve at all. It is actually just a thick piece of paper that has been folded in half.

Needless to say, I was disappointed.

but nonetheless that's definitely a fake record you've got there judging by the label colour and the fact that it says second pressing on the reverse
I wish I was purple, because I'm feeling blue. I'm not looking for love, but a good fuck'll do.

Good to know - I had never seen a sleeve that was simply folded in half. Honestly, it looks like it was done on someone's home computer.

There is good news though - the seller was completely understanding and instantly refunded my money. I was actually surprised to wake-up this morning and find that he had already sent the money back through Paypal. I thought I would be arguing and fighting to get all of my money back, but all I had to do was ask.

Don't tell me you are thinking of buying it
Tradera is the place where I got my counterfeit LSH and Hello Operator. Not good as the real thing but works well until I get the originals in my collection.

I know this is off topic and what not but does anyone have info on this? I would love to just read who/where/what etc.

I'm quite positive that's true. Don't remember who the seller was though, it wasn't on ebay very long before it was taken down, rumour was that TMR/Monotone/whoever bought it/invoked legal measures. The run out on this vault release reads, A side: "rescued from ebay out of..." B side: "the hands of an extortionist detroit engineer". It was definitely discussed a bit over at the LR at the time, here:
