This topic is dedicated to, and is for, and about all releases of Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes, most notably the promo vinyl double LP.

the gbms lp is probably at the top of my most wanted list. i saw a few pics of the promo that were on sale at third man, and they just added fuel to the fire. might have to make the drive to nashville once i have some money.

I honestly think $250 is a bit on the steep side

agreed, but i'm a little on the obsessive side.

I love the cover of this album and the picture of Meg is one of my favorites.

I finally got this record! It sounds great! For some reason I thought it was gatefold.


(P.S is it just mine, or does Blue Orchid go a bit quieter for a couple of seconds?)

Do all of these come with the press sheet/interview and listening party invite? Mine has (XL version) but you never see people mentioning it in ebay listings.

i have the press sheets with mine, but nothing else.

My XL copy has the press sheet and a double-sided "Get Behind Me Satan" poster

My V2 copy (from Japan) has a sheet in Japanese advertising the CD of "... Satan" on one side and giving a quick biography of the band on the other

I don't think mine has anything extra... XL I believe.

So are all V2's from Japan?

No. The only thing Japanese about it is the insert which US copies wouldn't have (not sure if they would have any insert at all)

Interestingly, the tracklisting on the insert is the cd version, not the LP version.
