This is the reissue from TMR.
It is identical to the Record Store Day 2013 release with the difference that the vinyl is black now.

I would have to look but was the colored version 180 gram? Might be another difference. Can't remember.

I seem to remember that this hasn't been remastered or anything, so I think the only differences between this press and the originals is that this is 180g and on TMR... I guess it's your call as to whether you think it is worth it.

This is the first black vinyl release in the U.S. I assume they'll just use the V2 stampers again like they did with the RSD release. I remember reading/hearing somewhere a TMR employee said they couldn't get the original audio off of the tapes because they didn't have access to the specific brand/type tape machine that was used to create the master. They've used V2 stampers before - the 13" White Stripes records are from V2 stampers as well.

Even tho this was just released for record store day and was a split color black and red with the second being white, any one think they will throw in a surprise to random orders? Or do you think this will strictly be a black version release with no frills or rarer copies made?

I don't recall that they've done anything like that for previous releases that were put out on colored vinyl and then later on black.

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.
