If anyone gets bigger high-resolution versions of these pics of Jack with Jagger, and decides to post them here for some unknown reason, I promise not to complain too much...

Add: Wait. TMR trading cards?!? Hell yeah, I'd be in for that. Disturbing but true.

One thing I thought they should make is just a simple black canvas carrying bag with the gold/white TMR logo. I hate wearing shirts with commercial logos on them, but I'm always hauling bags of stuff around, and I'd be glad to sport an ad for Third Man. Then again, my tastes in almost everything are non-typical, so who knows how well that kind of thing would sell.

Gone, utterly gone. :-]

(I thought that I had edited this post to the one below, turning two of the images into links.
But that edit got posted as a reply, and the original post remained. I dunno how/why/whatever.)

Thanks for the info; I was kinda wondering who he was.
And Cate Blanchett, of course, is a very fine and well-known actress.

Still, it's mainly that pair of rock gods that I would like to see a bigger picture of. ;-)

They have watermarks, but at least it's not right on top of their faces.

While listening to the BBC special on Jack White, I was browsing photos with google images.
I really like this one, can't recall if I've seen it before:

I know I've never seen this wonderful TWS photo before:

And does anyone have any idea what this is from?

Was that from something official, or just fan art, or what? It was on this page:

^ Thanks for that very helpful link. :)

That is definitely one of my favorite TWS posters ever. Nice that it was a Detroit show.
I like it mainly because it includes two of my favorite things about TWS - namely, Jack and Meg.
(I do appreciate all the other kinds of great art on TWS posters, but mainly I like portraits of the band.)

I would like to see more great drawings and paintings of the band, not just photos.
But unfortunately, most of the portraits I've seen really don't do them justice at all.
I was at an art fair the other day, and one booth had some pretty cool portraits of various
rock stars. I asked where Jack White was. The reply: "Who? I don't know who that is."

Back to the Jack photos, I like this shot from the GBMS days:

I actually like this one. A great caricature, really.

Yeah, that one is not bad for a caricature. Even the other one above is not such a bad caricature.

This one, on the other hand, is pretty horrible:

And that's an artist who says he's 'inspired' by Jack White and his music??
Damn. I'd hate to see a portrait of someone he's not inspired by.

Then there are the portraits that are not really bad, except they appear to be of some person other than Jack White:

And there are the portraits that are just...inexplicable:

This one is stark and strange, but interesting:

But anyway, the thread is mainly for photos, so a few more of those...

He has such a mercurial and expressive face. Any photo that catches him off-guard and looking natural is a treat. :-]

ok... please allow me to stay out of that portion of the dialogue... not wanting to blow my top at anyone randomly

I stopped in because i am looking ... in earnest ... for close up detail images of the Dead Weather playing cards

actually i am not looking up inside Ernest ... just whole heartedly hoping to get clear images of the cards so i can do a series of paintings to keep me out of the shit storm that happens when i actually attempt to socialize and converse

lets face it the shit that i think is interesting and worthy of dialogue is just too something or the other for the little room

so anyways... if any motherfucker over here at this very cool site for collectors would like to offer input as close up images of those playing cards so that i can 'drink in the details and produce a series of smaller canvases then i would appreciate it some how

definitely will post them here for you folks to see if you ask or let me know that you would like to see them... otherwise thanks

thanks for not rashing my ass with a bunch of needlenose plyers because i happen along into your world

hope the moderators can find all this acceptable ... later
