Jesus freaking Christ, this man's gonna bring me to religion.

I don't get it--I started a thread about this a month ago. I really am fucking invisible! Anyway, I love the track to pieces so I don't care.

This track is turning up at other sites now, in addition to Consequence Of Sound.

So far I've heard 100% approval from JW III fans, and zippo from U2 fans (of whom I know many). Maybe they're stunned into silence?

See my post earlier, pretty decent cover, not as good as the original IMO not a lot else to say.Aquamarine wrote:Shush, you!mojoryan wrote:Did anyone else hear something?Aquamarine wrote:............... ...... ... ..

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

I've never been much of a fan of this song to start with so hearing Jack's version of it didn't sway me much. I haven't given it a full fledged listen yet, will probably wait until a more official preview comes out versus a radio recording.

Not a fan of the song itself, but DAMN. What a great performance! Very moving, very emotionally intense. (What else would we expect from the man, right?)
So, if this is him totally solo: Would this be the first JWIII recording released where he's playing bass, drums, guitars, singing, etc., all by himself? (As opposed to just voice + guitar a la "FFB.")

I like it. I'm not familiar with the U2 version though. I like how Jack is doing Bono voice though. Interesting. I want Jack to do a solo album for sure, but not a whole album of Bono-voice.

Re: Q 'releasing' U2 Achtung Baby covers album feat. Jack Wh
No one wants a cover tune to be identical to the original, right? That version is very very good. U2's best albums have been War, Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby IMO. So for a full length cover LP with a great array of artists, I'll be looking for the CD. Jack's cover came off very well. Powerful vocals, quiet vocals, good guitar changes, its a winner, baby!!!
